Ventura Limoncello Originale
Move over Danny DeVito, you have got some major competition. The Ventura Limoncello Company handcrafts, from start-to-finish, the absolutely spectacular Ventura Limoncello Originale from a generations-old, Italian family recipe. Chill a bottle in the freezer and you will be blown away by this outstanding micro lemon liqueur.
Handcrafted in small batches in Southern California’s Ventura County using high quality, locally-grown fruit. Ventura County is considered one of the world’s premier lemon-growing regions with its steady sunshine and temperate Pacific Ocean breezes.
Ventura Limoncello Company founders Manuela Zaretti Carling and husband James Carling knew Manuela’s nonna (Italian for grandmother) had one of the best limoncello recipes in the world. Italian-born Rossana Zaretti brought the secret recipe to America 30 years ago.
Rossana, Manuela and James hand peel each lemon to maintain the highest quality. The passion and love they put into the product has paid off big-time, check out all these awards:
Winner of the Platinum Medal at the 2009 SIP Awards in Los Angeles, Gold Medal at the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 95 points (Just Wine Points), 92 Points (The Tasting Panel, Dec. 2008).
Each bottle bears a hand-written batch number. Micro Liquor received a bottle from batch 109B. Micro Liquor loves Ventura Limoncello Originale. It is 58 proof and delicious so serve it ice cold by chilling it in the freezer! Ventura Limoncello Originale is available in 750, 375 and 100ML bottles. We like the 375ML bottle the most–its skinny, sexy and seductive looking. The website really has an incredible list of cocktail creations, but our favorite are the ones listed below that use micro liquors.
Micro Liquor doesn’t rate products, but we think Ventura Limoncello Originale is 100 points.

I love limoncello!!! It is like dessert and liquor all in one.
The best part of this limoncello brand is that it is locally made. So many people go to the Farmer’s market because they want to support the local farmers, but they don’t think about supporting local companies when it comes to wine and spirits. I don’t know why, perhaps people just don’t know much about the products origin.
My wife and I love this limoncello, we live in Florida, but when we visit our kids in California we bring several bottles back with us. We prefer the 375ML bottle because it is easier to handle when pouring.
limoncello is the best shot to do before talking to a girl. that burst of lemon is better than anything.
I tried this I dont care for it as much as Danny DeVito’s.
