Twenty 2 Vodka
Everyday at least one person asks me what is “Entrepreneurship”. How do you become an entrepreneur? Entrepreneurship is a mindset of always looking for opportunity and taking action. You must take action, otherwise it is just talk. One of my favorite quotes is, “Form the habit of saying ‘yes’ to a good idea. Then list all the reasons why it will work. There will always be plenty of people to tell you why it won’t work.” -Gil Atkinson
Liquor entrepreneurship is no different. Everyone will tell you it is too difficult to go up against the corporate liquor giants. This is music to the ears of any entrepreneur. Donald Trump says, “You have to think anyway, so why not think big?” Well, if you want to think big in the liquor industry, you have to meet Jessica Jewell and Scott Galbiati who are fast becoming the true pioneers of American-Made vodka.
Jessica and Scott met at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York putting together a plan for a micro-distillery. They certainly had the book smarts, Jessica studied chemical engineering, and Scott studied product design and marketing. As we all know, book smarts can only take you so far like becoming a doctor.
Jessica and Scott took entrepreneurial action. They got married, built The Northern Maine Distilling Company, handcrafted the world-class American-made small batch Twenty 2 Micro Distilled Vodka, and are living proof that you can do anything in America. Jessica is the Master Distiller, one of the few women in the world that has mastered distilling spirits.
Using American made equipment, designed and built in Maine, Twenty 2 Vodka is micro distilled in controlled 50 gallon batches. Pure Northern Maine water is some of the cleanest in the USA, and each 750ML 80 proof bottle is individually filled, labeled, inspected and numbered by hand in Houlton, Maine. MicroLiquor has bottle 237 from batch 10-20.

Jessica and Scott love mixology and creating vodka cocktails. They release a new cocktail every Friday called The 3:00 Cocktail such as the Island Hopper, Strawberry Mint Lemonade, and The New England Ice Tea.
Jessica’s favorite cocktail is Twenty 2 Vodka and Club Soda with a lemon and lime. Scott’s favorite cocktail is the New England Iced Tea made with 1.5 oz Twenty 2 Vodka, 0.5 oz American Peach Schnapps, and topped off with diet coke in a pint glass filled with ice, garnish with a lemon. By the way, Twenty 2 vodka is the perfect birthday gift for someone turning 22 years old or two bottles for the 44 year old, and so on!
It is very rare to find a true American-made vodka, a lot of micro-distilleries in the USA make its distilled spirits in European-made equipment such as the German-made Christian Carl pot stills, but Twenty 2 Vodka is distilled from American grain in an American-made and designed pot still.
Twenty 2 Vodka should be in every bar, restaurant and lounge across the nation. Twenty 2 Vodka is a celebration of American Entrepreneurship. It is America in a bottle. It is America at its best!
