Top 5 Tequila for Father’s Day

Best Tequila for Father’s Day Sunday, June 20, 2010 … One of the best gifts and ways to show love to your father is to find a special bottle of tequila. It is important to take the extra time to find only the best handcrafted, small-batch tequilas that offer exceptional quality and bottle design that is perfect for Dad’s day! A common mistake many people make each year is grabbing big, mass-produced corporate brand names that you see sold everywhere.

Best Top 5 Tequila Brands:

Angel Tequila

Casa Noble Tequila

Tequila Canicas

PaQui Tequila

Corrido Tequila

The following top 5 brands have truly amazing quality, stunning packaging, and most importantly they are owned by tremendously skilled and hardworking tequila entrepreneurs that will show your Dad that you found a truly unique tequila like no other! Famous brands such as Patron and Don Julio are considered the Mercedes-Benz of Tequila, but everyone seems to have one nowadays. For Father’s Day, you want the bottles that are the Rolls Royce and Bentley of Tequilas — built by hand in small quantities, and sets you apart from the everyday tequila drinker.

ANGEL TEQUILA
After slow cooking, patient fermentation and a strict selection that takes into account only the heart of each distillation, Tequila Angel Bendito Blanco is born, bottled directly after distillation to bring forth a premium distilled beverage, specially made for liquor enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

Tequila Angel Bendito Añejo is aged three years in American white oak barrels, which brings on an incomparable flavor, body, aroma and softness.

A perfect point of equilibrium between the Blanco and the Añejo is Tequila Angel Bendito Reposado, aged at least eleven months in American white oak barrels, much longer than the two months required for reposados by Mexican law. website: www.angelbendito.com email: info@angelstequila.com

CASA NOBLE TEQUILA

Casa Noble ultra premium tequila begins as carefully selected mature Blue Agave plants, which have met strict requirements for water and sugar content. The family that owns Casa Noble employs only traditional methods to slow-cook the rich agave pinas for 38 hours in stone ovens. Then, using only the core and hearts of the agaves, they extract their sweet nectar. The fermentation process is 100% natural, followed by a triple distillation. The result is a tequila so pure and full of agave flavor that it has elevated the concept of tequila to new levels around the world. Casa Noble is USDA Organic Certified.

TEQUILA CANICAS

The most well kept secret among super ultra premium tequilas is primed to become the most coveted bottle to locate. Why, you ask? Because Tequila Canicas is handcrafted drop by drop from 100% Blue Agave plants that are allowed to mature eight years before harvest. It’s triple distilled and poured in hand-blown glass bottles from the volcanic hills of Jalisco, Mexico. It truly has everything the micro tequila drinker is looking for and desires. This tequila is so exclusive it is probably one of the most difficult bottles of tequilas to find.

PAQUI TEQUILA

In the native Aztec tongue, PaQui means “to be happy”. PaQui captures the high-end tequila experience-the spirit of fun and bringing friends (fathers) together, celebrating a sense of adventure.

PaQui is handcrafted in small batches in the town of Tequila, Mexico where the master distiller uses an elaborate process called selective distillation. This separates the hear of the distillate and selects only those portions with superior aromas and flavors, leaving a very pure tequila of exceptional character and drinkability.

CORRIDO TEQUILA

Produced using Blue Agave grown in the volcanic soil of the Highlands region of Jalisco. This “Los Altos” agave is known for its higher sugar content. Providing the tequila drinker with unprecedented smoothness while maintaining distinct agave character.

While its Cristalino is not aged, the Reposado, Anejo and Extra Anejo Corrido Tequilas are aged in white oak barrels and then moved to a more exotic finishing barrel for a brief period to bring out the elegant yet complex flavors. All Tequila Corrido aged tequilas are single-barrel aged which is something one should take note of when considering a tequila. Tequila is a GREAT idea. In fact, my kids bought a limited edition tequila (Voodoo Tiki) that came in a giant wooden box that lit up when opened. One of the coolest gifts ever. Two of my partners ordered one also. I think it was only available online and I am not sure if they have a new edition this year. I mainly drink their anejo.

  4. Haven’t had the opportunity to taste ‘Angel Tequila’ yet…but any Dad sure would be happy with any of those other bottles.
