ML: So let’s talk the name, why “Devotion”?
DA: That name has meaning. What does Grey Goose mean? I’m a single father, ‘devoted’ to my daughter Nicole- her nickname is angel, hence the *wings* on the bottle.
ML: What gave you the idea to launch a Protein infused vodka?
DA: I am into fitness, owned nightclubs- and [I] stay in shape. “If I’m gonna be bad, im gonna be good.” I went down to a chemist, [I was] very ambitious. It was a hard road, [and took] 3 years to launch.

ML: Who is this vodka perfect for? Who is your target audience?
DA: UFC/MMA to Castro District [in San Francisco]. People like the Protein, and some like the aesthetics of the bottle. People watch what they eat, now they can watch what they drink. A little less guilt when they party.
ML: What are the most popular cocktails incorporating Devotion Vodka?
DA: The “Guilt Free Cocktail.”(sugar free red bull, devotion vodka), The “Devoted Bull”- (regular Red Bull), and the ”Protein-i” (Devotion vodka martini-chilled straight up)

ML: What are the perks to drinking Devotion vodka, in comparison to Grey Goose or Kettel?
DA: It’s the only vodka with protein! No comparison. Protein is good for you!
ML: Talk about the process of infusing the protein?
DA: Well there are 600 steps…[laughter]
ML: You’ve mentioned the saying “If you’re going to be bad, be good”..tell me about that?
DA: Well why wouldnt you choose something good? We are only 15 weeks old and made it to #2 out of 10, on The Brown Foreman radius report.

ML: You mentioned that the UFC/and MMA community are big fans of your vodka, but what about the ladies?
DA: Women LOVE this vodka”-40 and wow” which is a group we had tested with said it was the “smoothest vodka they have tasted.” Women love the benefit of [the protein]. UFC guys are like the rock stars of the 70′s, these guys train hard and party hard- but then you have a woman taking nutri-system, who wants that martini, and she has trained hard so she wants a cocktail to feel a little less guilty.
ML: What’s next for Devotion vodka or yourself?
DA: Different flavors…stay tuned. We are about to launch in New Jersey, and we are going to hit The Jersey Shore. I wouldn’t be surprised if ‘The Situation’ holds a bottle of Devotion Vodka in the future.

Wow. Protein and alcohol…where can you get it?
Has it been tested to see if the protein denatures in the vodka? or if your body can even absorb the protein in this form?
And I believe there is at least one other protein infused vodka on the market
