Blue Angel Vodka
Blue Angel vodka is the masterpiece of Maurice Kanbar, inventor, entrepreneur, author, movie producer, chemist and master distiller.
Maurice created Skyy Vodka in the 1990s, and a few years ago sold it to Italy-based Gruppo Campari for $500 million. After a 3-year non-compete agreement, Maurice is back in the vodka business with a small batch, handcrafted micro vodka called Blue Angel! It’s American-made from San Francisco.
Ethyl alcohol is the only alcohol fit for human consumption. Distilled spirits have other types of alcohol called congeners such as amyl, butyl, propyl and isoamyl alcohol as well as acetaldehyde, ethyl formate and methanol.
These congeners cause headaches and hangovers. A lot of people are very sensitive since they experience headaches after 1 or 2 drinks of liquors high in congener content.
Well, Maurice took out nearly every congener in Blue Angel with only 10 milligrams of congeners per liter. If you want to drink without getting a headache, look no further than Blue Angel! It is unbelievable that you can drink so much Blue Angel, and you will not have a hangover, headache or anything.
Proper filtration is important; however, no amount of filtration can remove congeners. These impurities can only be removed with modern distillation technology and equipment. -Maurice Kanbar
Check out how many congeners are in the following:
Blue Angel vodka 10mg
Budweiser 420mg
Gallo Burgandy Wine 554mg
Smirnoff 80 Proof Vodka 367mg
Bacardi Light Rum 395mg
Gordon’s Dry Gin 158mg
J&B Scotch 475mg

The Blue Angel vodka bottle really grows on you the longer you have it around the table drinking with friends. Something about the bottle just makes you feel good. The back of the bottle is signed by Maurice Kanbar and it makes you just trust the brand even more that someone (and not a big corporation) is personally standing behind the product quality.
Maurice Kanbar is one of the most successful distilled spirits and vodka entrepreneurs in the world. Blue Angel is American-made! You would be a fool to go this year without buying a bottle of Blue Angel vodka!

My boyfriend’s nickname for me is Angel. I say you would be a fool to date a girl who is not your very own Angel
Angels really grow on you too the longer you have ‘em around. I find this vodka sweet, feminine, and romantic.
What an ugly bottle from an ugly, bad tempered old man. I met Maurice Kanbar once – he was in a parking lot shouting at a homeless person telling them they were “filth” and many other things. He was so obnoxious and to boot he’s a shorty himself so that’s probably the reason for his complex.
Maury,
I have been a Grey Goose lover for years and now I’m switching to Blue Angel. I just love it.
I had to write to let you know. Haven’t seen you in many years, in fact since I lived in Scottsdale and visited with you in San Fran. If your ever back in NY would love to see you again. Maybe a Blue Angel or dinner?
Would love to hear back from you,
Love,
Elaine Parles
Thanks all for the good words on behalf of Blue Angel Vodka.
Although I cannot verify Fern Cotton’s experience with MK, I can say that he is a complex person. If you Google Maurice Kanbar, I am sure you will get a mixed bag of results WRT who he is and what he has accomplished and contributed in his lifetime. His successes have enabled him to do a tremendous amount of good for the San Francisco community and beyond.
We have updated the packaging, and buzz about the new bottle (and the same old great vodka – 4 times distilled and 4 times filtered)has been good. Recent mentions in the SF Chronicle and lots of press for our role in the 50th Anniversary of “I Left My Heart in San Francisco.”
