Dry Fly Distilling School
Wanna go back to school? Before you say NO, you might want to hear about the Dry Fly Distilling School. Entrepreneurs Ken Fleischmann and Don Poffenroth make the award-winning micro liquor, Dry Fly Vodka, at the Dry Fly Distilling Company up in Spokane, Washington.

The school is ultra-exclusive as they only accept one student for a one-on-one intensive hands-on education in handcrafting distilled spirits. You will learn how to make Dry Fly vodka, gin and whiskey.
Don says, “Our schools are grain to glass. There are no shortcuts here. The better a student is prepared, the more they will get out of the class. We continue to work with our students to assist them in making their plans come to fruition.” Dry Fly Distilling School wants you to be a success and that’s why these guys opened up their doors.
Two classes are offered only twice a month:
COMPLETE DISTILLERY OPERATIONS (Monday –> Saturday, 55 hours) $2500
BASIC DISTILLING OPERATIONS (Two Days, 20 hours) $850
For more information on these courses, call Dry Fly Distilling at 509-489-2112 or visit Dry Fly Distilling School. Be sure to mention The Micro Liquor Blog.
Dry Fly Distilling School is a bargain when you compare it to the tuition at a private university. What private university gives you one-on-one instruction?
MicroLiquor recommends going to this school if you are thinking about getting into the distilled spirits business. Dry Fly Vodka won Best of Show Vodka and Double Gold Awards at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirit Competition in 2009. These guys know what they are doing, and they are the only distillery that offers a hands-on school of its kind.
Pick up a bottle of handcrafted, hand bottled Dry Fly Vodka and you will clearly see why Bacardi’s mass-produced Grey Goose Vodka is just an overpriced fools drink.
